aftershow vs FanVids

Updated 1 November 2026

aftershow and FanVids both give artists a page where fans upload the videos and photos they filmed at a show. The main difference is how you get started: on aftershow you sign up yourself, start on a free plan and see every price on the site. On FanVids you fill in a form to claim your domain and their team gets in touch to set you up. Which one fits depends on how you like to work.

FanVids details checked on 1 November 2026, on their own website. Things may have changed since.

What does FanVids do?

From what FanVids says on its own website:

  • Fans upload videos from a show to the artist's own FanVids address, in the form artistname.fanvids.io. The artist page we looked at asks fans for videos and photos from their shows.
  • Their FAQ describes it as a platform for artist managers, label staff and contractors to collect and manage fan videos, with a branded space where fans upload and engage with the artist.
  • Their home page puts the focus on first-party fan data alongside the videos, and says the artist owns the data and the content.
  • To start, you claim a domain with a short form: the artist's website, a main social account and whether the artist is signed to a label. Their site says the FanVids team helps with the full setup.
  • Their FAQ says content is moderated with automated filters and human review, and that artist managers can review and remove content on their own page.

We could not find prices or plan details on the FanVids website, so we cannot compare costs. If price matters to you, ask them directly.

What does aftershow do?

  • You get your own page at aftershow.io/yourname, and every show gets its own upload page and QR code. A dynamic QR code can be printed once and pointed at any show later.
  • Fans upload videos and photos in their original quality, straight from their phone, with no app or account.
  • You can collect fans' names and emails at upload if you want, and get a daily email when new uploads come in.
  • On Pro and Enterprise you can tag files with songs from the setlist and download a show as a ZIP with a folder per song.
  • You can share a show with your editor through a private link, with an optional password, and turn on a public gallery for any show.

How much does each cost?

aftershow has three plans, all listed on the home page. Free is free for 1 event with 1GB of storage and files up to 500MB. Pro is $19.99 a month with unlimited events, files up to 5GB each and 100GB. Enterprise is $49.99 a month with 300GB. For FanVids we found no public prices on their site.

How fast can you start?

On aftershow you pick your name, make your page and share the link the same day, without talking to anyone. FanVids asks you to submit the claim form, and their site says they will be in touch. It also says setup takes under five minutes once you have your creative assets ready, and that their team assists with it.

Which one fits you?

FanVids may suit you if you work with a manager or label team, you want a team to help set things up with you, and fan data is the main thing you are after.

aftershow may suit you if you want to set it up yourself today, start free for your next show, know the price up front, and care most about getting the original files sorted by show and song.

Both are made for the same thing: getting the videos fans film at your shows into your hands. If you are not sure, try aftershow free on one show and see how many videos your fans send.
